It is not unusual for some survivors to have accessed mental health services at some time in their lives, and many have received a variety of diagnosis, such as personality disorder, bipolar and so forth. Increasingly a diagnosis of PTSD or c-PTSD is now being made; which more clearly indicates that the presenting behaviour (that led them to MH services) is trauma induced.
