Queens Award for Voluntary Service – in 2005

In 2005 CISters was one of the very first organisations within the voluntary sector to be given a Queens Award. This award is in recognition of the work of volunteers and is the equivalent of an MBE for an organisation, rather than for an individual.

High Sheriff of Hampshire Community Award – 2015/16

CISters were honoured to receive an award from Lady Louisa Portal, in March 2016, at a ceremony in the Great Hall in Winchester.

Lady Portal, in her then role of High Sheriff of Hampshire, said:

“I know all of the recipients and their organisations very well, which has made the awards ceremony a truly personal and inspiring occasion.

I am delighted to be able to recognise these unsung heroes, all of who are on the front line day after day, quietly carrying out their life changing roles. Seeing first-hand the outstanding work that these people do to make a real difference to their communities and to the lives of vulnerable people is fantastic and forms an incredibly important part of my role”
